For Businesses

In order for businesses to be successful they need to protect their assets including proprietary information, intellectual capital, technology, property, inventory, and human resources.  Most businesses have implemented logical and physical security controls as the first line of defense.  As technology has evolved and the threat to businesses has increased, it is beneficial for businesses to incorporate security awareness training into their security strategy.  By providing security awareness training to your employees businesses can help to protect themselves against the human factor, also known as, the trusted insider.

In order to build a cyber safe community, businesses have a role to play in training their employees about the security threats and how to protect against them.  The Center for Information Security Awareness and the InfraGard Member Alliance of Metro New York has developed an online security training program, “Security Awareness in the Workplace”.  The training program is free for businesses with 50 employees or less and may be licensed for larger businesses.

So if you’re ready to make a difference, get started here.
